FRANKFORT, KY. -- Make it a dozen straight.
The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods women's volleyball team swept Kentucky State in a pair of 3-0 victories Friday night to improve to 12-1.
In the opener, SMWC cruised to a 25-9, 25-14, 25-13 victory.
Hannah Zuege paced the attack with 10 kills, followed by six from
Alex Hernandez.
Lillian Breaux had 25 assists and five of the team's 12 service aces. Jocelyn Cheavez had 12 digs and
Morgan Krause four blocks to lead the strong defensive effort.
The Pomeroys won the nightcap over the Thorobreds 25-6, 25-15, 25-15, with
Tori Schopmeyer leading the way with 10 kills.
Ariana Cruz had 32 assists and nine digs.
